Penny Kay (Hampton) Morton

Penny Kay Hampton Morton was born October 26, 1972 in Sardis, MS, to the late Barber Wayne Hampton and Nancy Ruth Stricklin. She worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant, taking care of others. Ms. Morton departed this life on April 16, 2024 making her stay in this life some 51 years, 5 months and 22 days.

Survivors include her husband, Robert Cecil Horner Jr. of Clifton, TN; her two sons, Sonny Joe Morton and wife Gina; Shane Patrick Morton both of Savannah, TN; two brothers, Randy Hampton of Jackson, TN; Tommy Hampton of Nashville, TN; four grandchildren, Addison Morton, Atlas Morton, A.J. Morton, and Elijah Morton.

In addition to her mother and father, she is preceded in death by her brother, J.W. Hampton.

Visitation with the Morton Family will be on Saturday, April 20, 2024 from 11:00 AM until service time at 1:00 PM.

Funeral services will begin at 1:00 PM on Saturday, April 20, 2024 at Bates-Love Funeral and Cremation Chapel with Geneva Middleton officiating. Interment will follow in the Whites Creek Cemetery in the Walnut Grove Community of Hardin County.
